A 3-evening course built around evidence-based breathwork. Live, online, with a certified instructor — and a community that's been doing this for forty-three years.
The Art of Living Part 1 Course teaches Sudarshan Kriya™ — a powerful rhythmic breathing technique that harmonizes the body-mind complex. Participants notice reduced stress and anxiety, better sleep, a stronger immune system, and increased energy levels.
Sahaj Samadhi® means “effortless meditation.” No controlling the mind like concentration practices. No vigilant observation of thoughts like mindfulness. A personal mantra does the work — and takes you somewhere quieter and deeper than either, faster.

The Cosmic Breath
Jyotish and the science of breath
5:30 PM CST
An introduction to where ancient Vedic astrology and modern breath science meet — how the rhythms above mirror the rhythms within, and what that means for your daily practice.
A morning session on the breath-based practices that pull attention back from the scroll — and let it stay there. Practical, science-backed, one cup of coffee long.
Parenting asks for a steadier nervous system than most of us showed up with. An afternoon on the breathing techniques that help you respond, not react — and stay warm in the hard moments.
Notes from students who walked in skeptical and walked out lighter — and stayed with the practice afterwards.
Part 1
I came in burnt-out from a year of seventy-hour weeks. Three days in, I slept through the night for the first time in months. I'm still using the breath six months later — every morning, like coffee.
Sahaj Samadhi
I'd done years of mindfulness and never quite settled. Sahaj is different — twenty minutes in and I'm somewhere I've never been able to reach with concentration. The mantra does the work. I just sit.
Part 1
My therapist suggested breathwork before increasing my anxiety meds. SKY breath did more for me in three evenings than years of journaling. I'm grateful I had another tool.
Sahaj Samadhi
Three weeks in, I'm sleeping deeper than I have in a decade and showing up to my kids without that low-grade buzz of irritation. Whatever Sahaj is, it's working.
Part 1
I expected hippie stuff. I got science, structure, and a teacher who answered every skeptical question I threw at him. Best four hundred dollars I've ever spent on myself.
Sahaj Samadhi
I was skeptical about the personal mantra. After the first session I understood — there's nothing to maintain, just a settling. It's the only meditation I've actually kept up.
Part 1
I'm sixty-four. I've tried every meditation app — none of them stuck. This stuck. The community is the secret. People are still breathing with you on Tuesday mornings, a year later.
Sahaj Samadhi
It's like resting at the bottom of the ocean while my surface mind keeps doing its thing. After thirty years of trying to meditate “right,” that was the relief I needed.

Frequently Asked

A few of the things people ask before they sign up. If yours isn't here, reach out — we'll get back to you the same day.
What is the Art of Living Part 1 Course?+
A three-evening course built around Sudarshan Kriya™ — a rhythmic breathing technique that quiets the mind and resets the body. The course also includes pranayama, guided meditation, and practical wisdom for daily life. The foundational program in the Art of Living lineage; designed for complete beginners and seasoned practitioners alike.
What is Sudarshan Kriya™?+
A specific rhythmic breathing technique developed by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. Over 100 independent peer-reviewed studies show measurable benefits for stress, anxiety, sleep, focus, and immune function. It's the heart of what's taught in the Part 1 course — twenty minutes that resets your week.
What is Sahaj Samadhi™ Meditation?+
Sahaj Samadhi means “effortless meditation.” A mantra-based technique that takes you beyond breath and focus. Each participant receives a personal mantra from a certified instructor — twenty minutes, twice a day, and a deeper rest than sleep. Taught over three sessions.
How is Sahaj Samadhi different from mindfulness or concentration meditation?+
Unlike concentration meditations, Sahaj doesn't require controlling the mind. Unlike mindfulness, it doesn't require vigilantly observing thoughts and emotions. The personal mantra does the work — and takes you to a quieter, deeper place than either practice can reach. It's also easier and quicker to learn than mindfulness or concentration, which require sustained mental effort.
Do I need any prior meditation or yoga experience?+
None at all. Both courses are designed for complete beginners as well as seasoned practitioners. If you can breathe, you can take Part 1. If you can sit quietly, you can take Sahaj.
Are the courses online?+
Yes — both Part 1 and Sahaj Samadhi are fully online via Zoom, taught live by a certified instructor. You'll need a quiet space, a stable internet connection, and a comfortable cushion or chair. Loose clothing helps.
How long are the sessions?+
Each Part 1 evening runs roughly 2.5 to 3 hours, over three days. Sahaj sessions are typically 1.5 to 2 hours, also over three days. You'll see the exact times for your course on its tile in the Register section.
What if I have to miss a session?+
Each course's sessions build on each other, so we ask you attend all of them live. If something unavoidable comes up, talk to your instructor — most courses have flexibility for one missed session.
What happens after the course?+
Lifetime access to weekly follow-up sessions, an active worldwide community of practitioners, and the option to deepen your practice with advanced courses. Many students stay connected for years.
What does the course cost?+
Both Part 1 and Sahaj Samadhi are $295. Scholarships are available for those who need them — please contact your instructor before registering. You'll find each course's enrollment link on its tile in the Register section.
